How did Myrrhia begin?

My grandmother taught me to knit when I was seven. I always had something on my needles after that. I couldn’t find patterns I liked, so I made up my own patterns. By the time I had graduated from college, the internet was making incredible new patterns available, but I had no idea, I was still just experimenting alone in a vacuum. In 2005 I bought a plastic knitting machine. Then, a friend showed me knitty and ravelry in 2007. I was able to connect with the incredible online community of knitters and was encouraged to publish my patterns online.
In 2009 People started contacting me because they wanted my garments, not the instructions to make them. I started investigating manufacturing, and continued buying knitting machines, repairing them, reselling them, teaching knitting machine classes . . . and then in 2010 I trained on industrial knitting machines.
